ARMED announces appointment of new data scientist

ARMED (Advanced Risk Modelling for Early Detection), developed by HAS Technology, combines pioneering predictive data analytics modelling with innovative wearable technology.

With over 20 years’ experience of delivering results in IT operations and working in the public and private sector, as well as engaging with key institutional and business stakeholders, Adrian’s knowledge will be an asset to the organisation 

Adrian brings a great deal of expertise into the role which will build on his PhD research into Health Informatics and Frailty. The ability for understanding and deploying predictive models taking account of frailty components of a person applied through academic research will be unparalleled and will significantly enhance the ARMED solution.  

The appointment of Adrian Smales as a Data Scientist underlines the company’s commitment to growing the innovative service to transform social care, enable individuals to live as independently as possible and make radical cost efficiencies with the health sector.

As part of his role, Adrian will bring together computer science, extract, analyse and interpret large amounts of data from a range of sources, using algorithms, data mining and artificial intelligence.

With a proven success rate and 25:1 save to spend ratio, ARMED has quickly expanded, and gained Microsoft recognition, demonstrating how AI and deep learning can revolutionise preventative care.
